Putting Our New and Improved Courtyard to Good Use!Now that our courtyard has gone through it's amazing transformation the school takes advantage of it as much as we can. You can see students from Mrs. Thompson's class spent time outside reading. While Mrs. Sachs and Mrs. Beale conducted science lessons in the court yard. We truly love this space and observing all of the treasures that nature has to bring us.

Isn't Nature Cool!Miss Martinelli's third grade class was exploring in the courtyard when they found a Tomato Hornworm. The students were fascinated by the Hornworm and even had their not so bug loving teacher up close and personal. The students wanted to learn more so we researched and spent an afternoon learning all about it's lifecycle and its effect on the environment.

Let's Paint a MuralOne of our Special Education Teachers, Tish Franklin, worked on developing a mural project for our students to gradually paint a wall in our interior courtyard garden. The mural will include images of native plants and animals. Students visiting the courtyard for learning experiences will be able to learn from the wall by seeing and reading it.
